Here it is!  The senior show that I've been working so hard on during my 3 week practicum will be performing on May 1 and 2, 2013.  Geeks and Freaks Productions will be presenting two plays:

1. This is a Test by Stephen Gregg (Comedy)
"As the ticking clock reminds you, you have only 60 minutes to complete this oh-so-important predictor of your future. But you didn't get the review sheets, the teacher doesn't seem to like you, and your classmates are blatantly cheating. Time is passing and the voices in your head keep reminding you that though you may be having trouble with the test, your personal life is far, far worse. Then you reach the essay question. 2. Phobias Anonymous by Sophie Yang and Kiana Hylton (Comedy)
Sit back and enjoy being the observer of a Phobias Anonymous session that is led by a money and fame-hungry counsellor who can not seem to control an obnoxious person that makes fun of every attendee as they share their unique phobias.  This play is written and directed by two students from the Grade 12 Drama class, who would appreciate it if you come prepared by rehearsing the line "scare your fears away."

Last day of practice teaching!!

I can not believe it!  Today was my last day practice teaching at PET.  The Teacher's Education program is coming to a close... almost.  Monday is my last day at York.  I can't believe how fast this school year flew by.

My mentor teacher passed me and gave me a great evaluation.  The best part of the day?  When the two grade 10 drama classes threw me a surprise party!!!  I was so happy I wanted to cry.  Two cakes, class pictures, and a whole lot of fun!!  Gonna miss them so much.

The end is near...

This week is the last week of classes at York!  I completed 19 of 20 assignments this semester, and have only 1 more to do.  Wow... did this semester ever go by fast!

Soon I will begin my teaching block at Trudeau and I'm super excited for it!  I will be teaching character building in grade 10 drama, and overseeing the production of a one act play in grade 12.  The play is called This is a Test, by Stephen Gregg.  Performances are on May 1 and 2 in the evening.  More detail to come in a couple weeks!
